Beginning in August 2023, Google Play services will no longer support Android 4.4 (also known as Android KitKat). This choice was made approximately ten years after the operating system’s debut. Less than 1% of devices will still be running Android KitKat as of July 2023, and Play Services APK upgrades beyond version 23.30.99 will not be provided for these devices. To take advantage of the most recent updates and features, we advise users to update to the most recent Android versions.
